Tired of having fast food? You can opt for a healthier option and it can even be cheaper.

Eating healthy makes you feel better. A light meal can give you more energy for the day rather than some burger with chips.

North London is full of places to eat, every corner there is a chicken shop, a McDonald’s or a Subway. But there are also a few other options for the same prices.

Moma’s Healthy Food, Holloway Road

This place can become busy at lunchtime as it is quite small and is in front of London Metropolitan University and very popular among students and staff.

Here you can have a meal box for less than five pounds with protein, salads and vegetables. They have roasted vegetables, chickpeas, brown rice, coleslaw and many other options.

Check out the article from London Cheap Eats.

All the food is quite tasty. Regular costumer, Andrei Daniel, 25, who works in a shop near by said: “I come here almost everyday I am working, the food is great.” He had the meal box with chicken but he said sometimes he has lamb. “I like the fact that this is such a small place but they still have a good variety of food and their take care of their customers,” he added.

Chicken Town, Tottenham

Who doesn't love fried chicken? Can it be healthy? Well for sure it is at Chicken Town.

Most of the menu is under ten pounds. They offer two pieces of chicken and two sides for ten pounds.

They use herb-fed chickens and steam them before flash-frying in rapeseed oil for a healthier option. Their ethos is: “ to do it differently, to do the good stuff without the unhealthy downsides and to share it with everyone."

Summer is coming, and more suggestions on healthy food options as well.
