Chefs are usually the most overlooked individuals in our society. These individuals are one of the very reasons we have guilty pleasures in the first place.
We at Guilty Pleasures sat down with Kefa Makumbi a 30-year-old chef from North London. He has no formal qualifications in the catering industry, Makumbi with his broad experiences and passion to feed others, currently works at Westminster Abbey Choir School. He is not your usual chef. He has been pescatarian for the large majority of his life, but this does not stop him from his passion and preparing meat dishes.
His mother is from Uganda and his biological father is Icelandic. Later in his life he was adopted by a Jamaican man who he now considers his father who taught him how to cook. Hailing from such a rich heritage, culture and backgrounds Kefa draws from these experiences and inspirations applying them to his cooking.
