A juicy patty between a soft bun? An endless choice of toppings? What is there not to love?
There are fish and chips, kebabs even a Sunday roast, but London’s love affair with burgers affirms their place on the list. Burgers are the granddaddies of fast food and one of life’s simple but guilty pleasures.
Although originally an American favourite, we British have adopted it and made it into our own. One cannot enter a street food festival, restaurant or chicken shop without this classic on the menu.
Here at Guilty Pleasures, we searched high and low in and around London to find the best burgers from the cheapest to most expensive burgers. Oh yes, we’ve got you’ve covered.
Burgers here start at £4.95 across their numerous locations in London.
Before one dives into the burger, this £4.95 includes a drink and for a £1 more includes an alcoholic drink. Back to the burger. Catering to all burger lovers alike, Wetherspoons offers three chicken options, a classic beef option and a vegetable burger for the “pretend” burger lovers. Served with fries on the side, Wetherspoons will give you a run for your money and will make you reconsider that fish and chips.
Burgers in the £4.95 price range do not include many frills - apart from the succulent filling between a bun. If you want more, Wetherspoons has it, just for another £1 more (£6.25 with a soft drink and £7.25 with an alcoholic drink) Wetherspoons offers a wider range of choices and with more toppings. Some of which pay homage to the US and its states. Extra toppings and sides can be added ranging from 75p to £2.

The menu is simple, but according to Junior Makuzwa, a 31-year-old avid burger eater and Lobster and Burger fanatic - the experience is epic.

“It’s more to do with the taste, not just only the burger, but the service that compliments the experience - it’s more than your average burger place, it’s the experience.”
These are not your ordinary burgers, the 10 oz classic comes in at £16.50 and it is lavishly with Burger and L

Of course Lobster Burger is available, if you are a bit adventurous check out the lobster burger - a 6oz patty topped with lobster meat and truffle is - to - die - for.
